Meet Ms. Wickes
Ms. Wickes in the Classroom
I have been a teacher for over a decade and for me, it is WHO I AM, not just what I do.
I have taught my own classes and/or supported other teachers, classrooms and student needs for learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
I currently have the honour of being the Intermediate Resource Teacher at Harwin Elementary and I get to work with a dedicated and amazing staff and some of the most amazing little learners I have ever met!
Ms. Wickes Outside the Classroom
When I'm not teaching, I'm usually THINKING about teaching! But I do have other interests.
I like to read, play with my critters, spend time with my children, family and friends. I'm forever spoiling my grandchildren. I like to paint, crochet and craft. I play games on my phone and surf the net (sometimes more than I should). I like to watch movies and often at night I will turn all the lights out, snuggle in a blanket on the couch with my critters and watch scary movies. And, even outside the classroom, I LOVE TO LEARN!
My Therapy Puddy Tat . . .
This is Wasi. Okay, she's not a real therapy cat either; BUT, like Jaggy, she makes me happy, so she is MY therapy cat! Wasi is pretty new to my family and is still a kitten. She will be one in May 2020 and will celebrate 1 year with my family in July 2020!
My Therapy Pooch . . .
This is Jaggy. Okay, she's not really a therapy dog; BUT, she makes me happy, so she is MY therapy dog! Jaggy is a family member of mine and has been with my family for 12 years this October.
